Hi, i’m french and my english is not very good. i saw your post about make a htpc, i have the same installation ( Zotac ID41 with openelec) and the same bug : exit splash screen” and “sound over hdmi”. i didn’t find solution on the web exept yours but links are dead

Hi, i’m sorry to consult you again, i solved all my bug exempt one, I use my HD-ID41 with openelec 1.95.2 and my datas are on a Qnap TS219P via Samba. When my Zotac isn’t on the network all is good but when is connect Via Lan or Wan it crash during refresh. i have the cross on black screen and the home menu and it refresh 2 second after, the only solution is unplugged the ethernet ( or disable WAN very speedly )
i make lots of search on the official openelec forum, xbmc forum, passionxbmc and google but i don’t find any solution…
i deactivate all addons and skins… no result…
UPNP not worked with xbmc, i must use another network protocol ? i hope you know an issue about this bug.
in any case thank you for your help !

Hi Starkadh,
Use samba (SMB) instead of UPNP. UPNP isn’t the best great way to share your data.
